Spindle conception for the new generation of cover spinning machines

To increase efficiency and humanization of the work places, a new generation of single motor driven spindles for the cover spinning of elastomers with synthetic yarns or with natural yarns was developed. Based on the experience of the belt driven spindles, and on many years of know-how in the field of single motor driven systems, Temco have launched the MSE150 series of spindles which has been designed - in accordance with its corresponding bobbin geometry (up to 6.5" traverse) - for speeds up to 36,000 r.p.m.

Each spindle is equipped with a high-frequency motor which as especially developed for this application field in order to guarantee the high efficiency of the electric power. The use of the single motor drive system leads to a drastic reduction of the maintenance costs, because belt and jockey pulleys are not necessary. This will pay back the investment in a short period.

Energy savings up to 25% with single motor drive

Temco's single motor drive needs up to 25% less of electric power consumption compared with belt driven spindles due to the absence of the many mechanical parts which are necessary for the guidance of the belt through the machine. The reduction of power supply can be dramatically increased by use of the energy saving pot. Condition for the use of motor spindles without any difficulties is an optimal working power supply system of the machine (inverter). Temco has a lot of experience in this field and can consult you in any detail.

Nominal service life as a function of unbalance and speed

An ingrease of unbalance of 1 g/mm halves the service life (dark grey graph 3 g/mm versus red graph 4 g/mm). The light gray graph shows the influence of 6 g/mm.
